GOD AND RELIGION: IS THERE A DIFFERENCE?

If religion is understood as a system in which right and wrong are objectively spelled out, a system in which wholehearted, divinely-empowered conformity to the right and wholehearted, divinely-empowered rejection of the wrong is held to be the imperative determiner of one’s ultimate destiny, then the God of the Bible is indeed a religious God, not an open-ended, postmodern accommodator of everyone’s chosen ways.
