Many in conservative Christian circles have been badly shaken by the recent marital breakup and renouncing of Christianity by the one generally regarded as the leading founder of what has come to be called the evangelical “purity movement.” Could these tragic events have been collateral damage from the implosion of the man-made social paradigm that first made him famous?
