New Book Released on Religious Liberty by AdVindicate Editor

The editor of AdVindicate, Lemuel V. Sapian has released a new book on Religious Liberty entitled, “Not of This World: Religious Liberty for All as a Key Christian and American Value”. Published by Brimingstone Press, “Not of This World” takes a historical and scriptural look at the topic of Religious Liberty and freedom of conscience from an American Christian perspective.

The book is intended for an American Christian general audience, not merely Seventh-day Adventists; however individuals of all and no religious persuasions can benefit from the historical and scriptural information within. Laden with quotations from the American Founders and the Bible, a case is made for a wall of separation between Church and State, a concept that seems foreign to Western Christians that tend to want to exert significant influence in politics. As the title suggests, the book appeals for the Christian to focus on the Eternal Kingdom not of this world, and to not seek worldly political methods to further the precepts of Christ on Earth.

You will want to procure several copies for sharing with friends and loved ones; the book is not overly advanced academically in its style, and is tailored to the common layperson with a genuine interest in religious freedom. Seventh-day Adventists maintain an almost unique view of Religious Liberty in the known Christian world (certain Baptists do as well) and our method of contending for the religious freedoms of all and not merely ourselves reflect the Biblical Golden Rule and the First Amendment to the United States Constitution with its Establishment and Free Exercise clauses.

A sample paragraph:

“[Roger] Williams, [John] Clarke and [William] Penn, along with countless others with dissident religious views and were persecuted for their faith became determined to strike at the heart of the matter, the union of Church and State. Williams was the first to use the analogy of a wall separating the two. So it was, in all ironies that a devout Christian and founder of the Baptist Church in America, not an atheist, who so strongly called for a wall to be erected between Church and State.”

Get a copy for yourself, read it and share with others. Use it to open a discussion on Bible prophecy and the end times, and while doing so share the principles of Religious Liberty for all so that all may be free to exercise the dictates of their consciences.
