The first competition took place in Heaven and began with the desire to be number one. This high-ranking angel was not satisfied with his position; he wanted more. He initiated a competition with Jesus Christ. Ultimately, this resulted in a war with dire consequences for Lucifer and his sympathizers. The losers miss out on their prime spots in Heaven.

Andrews University is the running for most vegan-friendly college in the U.S. for 2012, a contest being held by Peta. Andrews has made it to the third round, along with seven other colleges and universities. Two rounds remain before the winner is decided.
You can vote by visiting Peta's contest page and clicking on the Andrews icon on the playing field. The description for Andrews says:
This flagship university of the Seventh-Day Adventist school system proudly serves up more than 3,000 all-vegetarian meals each day. In one week, it reportedly uses more than 300 lbs. of tofu and 400 lbs. of dry beans! Some of its delicious options include crispy tofu marinara, vegan cashew meatballs, and zesty key lime pie.
According to Peta, round three ends 5 p.m. ET on October 30. Winners will be announced November 15:
